“The Presidents Report”
Abraham B. Mirandilla Jr

How can service be humble yet responsible creating positive impact on the community it wishes to serve?

First and foremost, my deepest gratitude to one and all for the vote casted on me as your new president. This year 2025 has been both a blessing, responsibility and challenging mission as its plentitude of hope awaits, surprises along the way likewise with the challenges on the road ahead.

Let me be your friend who will guide and humble us down as it is my mantra as a leader to involve God and hope in Him in our journey and activities as an association.

As early as January of this year, we, the Kidney Transplant Association of the Philippines (KITAP) in collaboration with the NKTI Liturgy Community, MSSD and Executive Office for External Affairs have accomplished the following activities:

Celebration of the Feast of Sto.Niño held last January 19.This was attended by pilgrims honouring the little Niño which also was the association’s thanksgiving mass for the success of the recently-concluded and chosen elected KiTAP Board officials.

NKTI Director Dr. Rosemarie Liquete  of the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) presided and graced our oath taking on the 27th the same month wherein she highlighted our  vision to  advocate and provide quality, long  and healthy life to our fellow transplantee patients as well as our ultimate mission which is advocacy campaign on kidney disease and prevention.

We officially launch our “Advocacy Campaign” particularly at St. Benedict Parish in Silang Cavite wherein we advocate Kidney Disease Awareness and Organ Donation and Transplantation, after the Holy mass on February 27, 2025. Special thanks to the parish priest Rev Fr. Dan Paraiso for accommodating and for the donations extended to our association. The officers, Our Spiritual Director and an NKTI employee namely Rev Fr. Andrew SEO, Ms. Millet Andres were all present and grateful during that day.

Another advocacy came at PTV4 and DWAS wherein we were invited for an airing interview. Objective of this still all about our main advocacy of Awareness campaign.

Another main events were Leadership Training, Celebration of the World Kidney Day conducted February 20-21 and March 13, 2025 respectively.

It was such a privilege and honor for us novice officers to be learning and reminded how to be a leader and servant with a heart once again and to celebrate this year’s World Kidney Day with the theme: Are your Kidneys OK? Detect Early, Protect Kidney Health.

The fun and activities never stop until the Philippine National Transplant Games (PNTG) comes May 4-5 at Hacienda Gracita in Tagaytay. With the theme, Lakas ng katawan, Tibay ng Pagsasamahan. It was really one gratifying Olympic geared towards total wellness mentally, socially, morally even spiritually  and physically  and healthy aspect of the patients as well as

Everyone who joined. There were total attendees of 74 transplantee patients including some Family members, friends and benefactors

It was indeed one full heck of half of the year activity for us, transplantees and looking forward to more of the years and years to come with the grace of god, I claim to be of service to everyone.

May God keep us all healthy and grateful always, I am Abraham Bambet Mirandilla,  the president at your service. Dios Mabalos po.
